If you were to ask me if you had a do-over in life, would you hire yourself?

I would say to you:

In my world there are two groups, when it comes to success:

Those who've DONE IT and those who have YET TO DO IT.

My team and I belong in the latter category, it’s simple. It comes with its daily dose of complexities and heartbreaks. But, that’s the structural frame of the world we live in.

I have fond memories of navigating in a previous DONE IT circle with elders who had the world within their realm of services.

The kind of once in a lifetime talent who could help negotiate and bring peace in countries or reach out to the Clintons at the apex of their political careers.

The rare visionary-type of elders who had unfettered access to the Obama/Biden unprecedented historical campaign.

Accomplished elder experts in powerhouse law firms who have sacrificed a lifetime navigating wealthy societies within the most stringent set of unwritten rules. They came out on top and built mammoth legal empires along with massive community goodwill.

Empires that only the top businesses who live and navigate by those nuanced standards get to mention on their resumes or work history.

These mentors operated on a first name basis with a 26 year old law student and spared valuable billable hours for mentoring sessions and lunches.

During a rare moment of humility, an elder once admitted that he would heavily scrutinize his own application to his own firm if he was a new entrant in the industry. Then, he would go out and close on eye-opening real estate deals.

We remain phenomenally happy and supportive of these mentors and their generous counsels to a young apprentice. 

We also remain undeterred with our own legacy at TaxMarvel LLC. While that kind of level of achievement above may never fall within reach, we ride out for our clients through our own gauntlet on a daily basis to bet the house, the family, the car and the house pet (if we had any) situations.

I would not have it another way!

I also have nothing but gratefulness in the heart for the fond memories.

Interestingly enough, these days, I too am under my own constant scrutiny as a new CEO to TaxMarvel LLC.
